GREEN WAYS
Organic beetroot

The first recorded account of beetroot is more than 3000 years old and comes from Babylogy. However, it was later used as a food or medicine in Ancient Rome. Thanks to the Roman culture, it then reached all corners of Europe. Today, its consumption is widespread, particularly in Eastern Europe.

Green Ways Organic Beetroot is grown in organic fields in Northern California. After harvesting, the bulbs are thoroughly cleaned. The upper part of the crop near the leaf rosette and the lower part at the top of the “root¨ are removed, as the middle part of the bulb contains the most nutrients.

Therefore, Green Ways only works with the nutritious “heart¨ of the crop.

The waste material generated in this process is further used to enrich the feed of livestock.

After cleaning and trimming, the juice is extracted and is then gently dried at a low temperature. The dried beetroot powder does not contain crude fibre, but only active nutrients with high nutritional value. Despite its highly valuable nutritional benefits, it is necessary to drink beetroot juice gradually.

There are people who experience nausea from consuming higher amounts of beetroot juice. Therefore, it is important to start drinking it gradually and dilute it with plenty of water.
